Priyank Panchal is a right-handed batsman from India who currently represents Gujarat in domestic cricket. Priyank, who was born in Ahmedabad, also bowls for his teams as a right-arm medium-pace bowler.
The young cricketer was been named to the South Africa tour in 2021/22.
After Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul, he was given the opportunity to open the innings as the third opener.
He will take over as India’s Vice Captain Rohit Sharma’s replacement.

Personal Life
Panchal, who was born in Gujarat in April 1990, began playing cricket at a young age. His father was an interstate cricket player who backed him up throughout his career.
Priyank claims that his father used to wake him up at 4:30 a.m. every day to assist him in preparing for morning matches. Priyank’s father was likewise very particular about his diet, making sure he didn’t consume excessive amounts of junk food.
His father died of heart arrest while he was only 15 years old. His resolve to play international cricket was only fuelled by the tragedy.
He works as a tax assistant in Ahmedabad in addition to being a cricketer. He got the job at the Income Tax Office because of a sports quota.
Early Career
In 2003-04, Priyank Panchal made his debut in cricket. He was a member of the Under-15 team in the Polly Umrigar Trophy.He was a two-year participant in the competition.
Then, during the 2005-06 Vijay Merchant Trophy, he was a member of the Under-17 team. In the event, he hit a stunning century.
Priyank played in both the limited-overs and three-day matches in the next season of the tournament.
Domestic Cricket
On February 27, 2008, he made his List-A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He hit 123 runs off 115 balls in his maiden encounter against Maharashtra. He hit 17 fours and one six in his spectacular century.
He made his first-class debut against Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy the following season.
Priyank was Gujarat’s best run-scorer in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy season. In 17 innings, he scored 1310 runs. He was instrumental in Gujarat’s first-ever Ranji Trophy victory.
Priyank made history by becoming the first Gujarati player to achieve 1000 runs in a Ranji season.
He was also the first player from Gujarat to score a triple century.
Against Punjab, he scored an incredible 314 points.
In the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy, Priyank Panchal scored 542 runs in seven games. That season, he was Gujarat’s leading run scorer. In the 2018-19 Duleep Trophy, he was also picked to the India Green team.
Priyank maintained his form and was named the top scorer in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy and the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy Group Stage. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored 367 runs, and in the Ranji Trophy, he scored 898 runs.
Panchal has been selected India’s Red Captain for the Duleep Trophy in 2019-20. He was also picked to India B’s squad for the Deodhar Trophy in 2019-20.
Panchal got a century for India A against New Zealand in 2020. Priyank Panchal scored several important runs for India A versus Sri Lanka A and West Indies A while working with Rahul Dravid. Cricket is a sport played internationally.
International Cricket
Priyank Panchal has been selected for India’s test series against England in 2021. In the 2021 India squad for the South Africa tour, he took the position of Rohit Sharma.
