Cody Rhodes left the WWE world stunned on Monday when ‘The American Nightmare’ revealed the brutal extent of a horrific pec injury he suffered before Hell In A Cell.
Stepping into the ring on Monday against Seth Rollins, Rhodes took off his robe to audible gasps from the crowd as he showed off the full extent of the bruising from his torn pec.

In a statement less than an hour before the event got underway, the WWE said Rhodes had suffered a partially torn right pectoral tendon during a brawl with Rollins on WWE Raw.
The injury only worsened later in the week, with host Kayla Braxton revealing that while weight training in the lead-up to Monday, Rhodes had torn the tendon “completely off the bone”.
Despite Rollins targeting the injury during the fight, Rhodes was still able to somehow claim the win.
First, Rhodes went for back-to-back Cross Rhodes before hitting Rollins across the face with a sledgehammer in the final blow to seal the win.
“You guys paid your money to see me, I wasn’t missing my return to Chicago at the Allstate arena,” Rhodes said post-fight.
“We will get through this and I’ll update you all tomorrow.”
For the time being though the WWE world reacted in shock to Rhodes’ injury and the fact he was still able to get the win despite being in clear pain.
